The new Surveillance Camera Code of Practice is an improved version of the code that was published in 2013, and is the first time the document has been amended in eight years. The code provides guidance on the use of camera systems that record or view images for surveillance purposes. CCTV cameras, for example, are included, along with automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technologies, and any system that’s used to store or process the information obtained by those devices....

Officials noted in the blog post on February 16 about the new build that Microsoft is no longer planning to publicly note when it changes the branches (which have been codenamed using periodic element names for the past few years) that are used for particular builds. The Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) will be a voluntary document that can be used by developers, evaluators and others as a way to “improve the trustworthiness of AI systems.” NIST noted that the request for input comes after Congress and the White House asked the organization to create a framework for AI. The pay-per-install (PPI) malware service has been in the cybercrime field for a while, but it is unknown who is behind the malware’s development.
